It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2

God Is a God of Order. 1 Peter 3

God is a God of order and we see it when we look at how the various parts of the universe operates. From rain falling to grow life, to the evaporation of the rain back into the atmosphere, or to the process that governs the different seasons and cycles that are predetermined according to the natural order of things.   God did not create this world with such great detail and precision, only to leave mankind, His greatest creation, without a process of order. The problem is that most people do not want to submit to God’s divine order and rather lean to their own ways.

Proverb 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; NKJ

Submission of the Wife and Husbands to one another:

God’s order of things is that man and women should live in unity and there is an order with one head. So naturally, anything with two heads is a mutant or is malformed and cannot function properly. God has given the husband the position of head of the wife just as God is the head overChrist. There is only mutual respect and love and nothing condescending or humiliating in their relationship and it should be the same with husband and wife.  Every wife would be willing to submit to a loving, protecting caring husband, because she knows he has her best interest in mind. The selfish, prideful and self-centered person is the one that is hard to submit to and trust.

1 Peter 3:1-2, 7 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. … Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

God is the head of Christ, and Christ is the head of every man, and man is the head of woman. Some people see this as a putdown to women but that is only because we view it in the light of fallen mankind where the pride of life, and the lust of the eye and flesh has ruled over relationship rather than the word of God. It is because of sins of pride and selfishness that mankind is no longer operating according to God’s order. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit living in us to give us the ability to not be lifted in pride, and to live in submission to one another.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 11: 7b -9 … but woman is the glory of man For man is not from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.

1 Corinthians 11: 11-12Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord.  For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.

The world would say we would be belittling ourselves when he submits to others and that it is condescending for women to submit to a man. Which is totally opposite of what God’s word says. God is the head of Christ, so women are in the same position as Christ. There is nothing disrespectful or demeaning in Christ’s relationship with God or with Christ being the head of man. Submission, is two equals giving one’s consent to yield, or is an agreement between equals to respect and submit to one another. God the Son being equal with God did not think it was robbery to acquiesce or consent to being in submission to God the Father.

Philippians 2:6-8 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

It is because of sin, selfishness and pride that mankind no longer obeyed God and failed to cherish his wife as one to provide and protect, as his own body. He became abusive, neglectful and careless with his relationship with his wife. A woman, or any person for that matter, who feels cared for, protected and cherished will submit to the instruction andauthority to those they trust to love, appreciate and respect them. As it was in the beginning with Adam who called Eve, bone of his bone and he was told to place this relationship above all others, even in leaving father and mother.

Genesis 2:23-24 And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

It is the dysfunction and the disunity of the husband-and-wife relationship that causes division and we see this in the beginning when Adam blame God and blame Eve, saying “that woman You gave me…” Rather than taking care and protecting his wife when she was approached by the serpent, he allowed her to be beguiled and lured by the enemy.  God had given to Adam the command to not eat of tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam as the head, instead of becoming Eve’s savior and intercessorbefore God, as Christ did for mankind, he took part in her disobedienceand then blamed God and her for his failure.  That same blame and disunity has entered the relationship of men and women that affect their unity and obedience to God.

Genesis 3:12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

Living in Unity:

1 Peter 3:8-12 For “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.  Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him see peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

The natural connections that we are born into and have through our culture, race and nation should be just as apparent in God’s kingdom and our spiritual connections by the way we live our lives. Our spiritual likeness and awareness of God, as our Father and King must rise above our natural affinities and sympathies. So that God will be exalted and His kingdom ways and principles will be elevated above all else. It is an ambassador’s lifestyle and quiet way of living out their kingdom’s laws and statutes that speaks and communes with others without a word.  Our actions are the loudest and best representation, as ambassadors of God, to those who were taught in this worldly system.

1 Peter 3:10-12a Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you are called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and purse it. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers… NKJ

Suffering for Right and Wrong:

When we suffer for doing the right thing, we should consider ourselves blessed, because it is God’s will for us at that particular point or phase in life. We are told not to be afraid or troubled by threats of others but have faith in God, believing in our hearts that He is able and will vindicate us. When people ask why do we forgive others or do not lash out, we should be ready to tell them about the love God has for us, in forgiving our sins and wrong doings. Therefore, we can now, with the power of the Holy Spirit, forgive others and trust God to recompence the good and the evil.

God, in His love, mercy, grace and great compassion has provided us a payment for sin. Jesus has taken the wrath and has made atonement for sin for all mankind and has satisfied God’s fury and taken the judgement against sin from those who by faith, believe in the completed work of Christ.

1 Peter 3:13-17 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?  But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. NKJ

Christ’s Suffering and Ours:

In the Old Testament God gave mankind the blood of animals to cover their sins for a season and this had to be done repeatedly because the blood of the animals does not completely atone for mankind. God dealt with mankind as a Holy God and a Righteous Judge.  That is why when their sins were more than the animal’s blood could cover and The RighteousGod could tolerate, God’s judgement and punishment fail on the people.

Prior to the life, death and resurrection of Christ, God dealt with mankind as Creator and as a Holy and Righteous Judge. But now, Jesus has paid the sin debt owed by all mankind, and God has provided an opportunity for everyone to choose whether or not they will be adopted into the family of God. By the choice of their actions, all will stand before God and He will be their Abba Father, or stand before Him as a Holy and Righteous Judge.

1 Peter 3:18-22 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

Jesus suffered for our sins, the Just for the unjust, leaving us an example to follow, to forgive others as He has forgiven us. Everyone will make their choice, by their actions, and that will determine their eternal future.

God’s Kingdom Laws: Submit to Others, Do Not Retaliate and Do Justly   1 Peter 2:13-25

There are natural laws and spiritual laws that are in place that dictate natural and spiritual outcomes. There are the laws of the various nations and countries that the citizens must abide by or they could be, in danger of paying the penalty for their failure to obey. We are more familiar with the natural laws that govern this world, such as the law of gravity. As followers of Christ,we are called to humble ourselves, submit to others and to do the right things.

1 Peter 2:13-17 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.   For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.   Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

Most people do not have a good understanding of God’s spiritual laws that govern the spiritual realm such as the act of submitting to those in authority, because it is the will of God for His people. When we are doing the right thing even when others are offending us we are showing the world we trust in God’s faithfulness to provide and protect. We are to give honor to all people because they are image bearers of God. Jesus told the people to render unto Cesar the things that belong to Cesar which was respect, that is due all who are in authority but we are to fear(obey) God. If it is not illegal, immoral, against our health and safety, or God’s laws, we are to submit to those in authority.

1 Peter 2: 18-22 Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.  For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.  For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth”;

We often see people who want to seek revenge or demand an eye for an eye when it comes to their injuries or injustices. Some people feel they are justified in wanting harsh penalties of others because of what they experienced,or because of the unequal treatment done by others.  They want just as much, if not more, punishment to be given to       the perpetrator or violator, but God tells us that He will be the vindicator and judge.

Some people are punished more harshly because of their class, culture or socioeconomic background and they feel cheated.  But this is all part of the pride of life, in that we want to be esteemed just as great as others, or at least be vindicated to the same extent. God has told His people to trust Him to vindicate us and to love mercy in whatever form it may arise, knowing God is the ultimate judge who will judge justly in the end.

1 Peter2:23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously. NKJ

God has shown us His way and that is for us to do justly, just do the right thing. We are to give everyone, unbiased and unprejudiced treatment, doing the right thing for the right reasons. This is how we are to walk truthfully and in integrity, without looking for anything in return, not even right treatment in return. This is the requirement that the true followers of Christ should set for themselves. We are to love mercy; we should be devoted to showing forgiveness and celebrate it with passionate, open-hearted gladness when it is shown to others. We should not seek out punishment toward others, but should always look to show mercy and forgiveness no matter the situation, as God has forgiven us.

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Jesus showed us how-to walk-in mercy and forgiveness. On the night Jesus was betrayed He washed the feet of His disciples including the one who betrayed Him, to be put to death. Jesus gave broken bread to those who were with Him as a symbol of His body that would be broken for them and He poured the wine as a representation of His blood that would be poured out for humanity.  We are told to remember Christ every time we take part in the act of communion, the one who gave His life for many. For this reason, God requires mercy of His children. We also can follow His examples of being broken bread and poured out wine by forgiving others and loving others in spite of what they do to us.

The world is living life in fear of lack, in scarcity and in self-focus, while the true followers of Christ are giving out of their hardship, and sharing their resources and loving those that were unlike themselves. Christ is the One who gave Himself for others, the One who became poor that others may be rich, the One who died that others might have abundant and eternal life and the One who forgave and loved those that abused and reviled Him.

2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. NKJ

1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. NIV

Those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord, God has called them kings and priests on the earth. These are God given earthly positions that have certain roles, functions and responsibilities upon the earth. As kings we hold the position of royalty as in the family of God and should conduct ourselves accordingly. As priests we offer prayers and petitions for the people that are in our sphere of influence.

We see these roles displayed in the life of Christ, the One in whom we are to get our identity and should also mimic, impersonate and imitate while we live on this earth. As image bearers of God and Christ followers our purpose is to display the love, mercy and the forgiveness of God which brings glory to His name on the earth.

1 Peter 2:24-25 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.   For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

We are now part of a new family, citizens of a new country and our allegiance is to our Sovereign King, Jesus. Many get stuck in their own ideas about their rights and ethnicity in the flesh that they fail to be transformed in their minds into the image of Christ and to make Jesus the Lord over all. There is so much division in the church, in the body of Christ because many refuse to let go of the old nature, old life and its priorities. When Jesus is King over our lives He will reign in every area of our life regardless of our past, affinities or affections.

For all who by faith believe in Jesus as their Lord and King, God has given them the Holy Spirit to help them in their weaknesses. God knows our heart and mind and the Spirit of God intercedes for us that we may walk according to His will. Though our life choices may not be perfect, God knows how to take our bad choices, and what the enemy meant to be evil against us, and turn it around and to work it for our good. It will then become as a testament of God’s goodness, mercy and His glory.

When we have knowledge of God the Father and Jesus Christ whom He has sent, then we are able to see more clearly the Godly nature and workings of God in the earth and in the spiritual realm. Satan’s major attack is against the people of God, while trying to tempt them into rebelling against God. But God in His Sovereignty and purpose will use the very things the enemy has brought against His people to transform them and develop them into the image of His dear Son.

God has always had representatives in the earth to show His way, His word and His righteousness. From the beginning with Abel, to the laws of the Jewish nation, to the prophets and now through the word of Christ, God has always provided an example to the world and to show them the way of salvation.  It has always been the choice of every person to us their will to choose whether they will remain in their fallen mind set or to let go and choose to obey the light of God’s word.

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain but He washed me clean as snow.

1 Peter 2:1-12

The act of salvation is an instant transaction in time that gives birth to a living spirit in Christ. Conversion is a process that is done over a life time. The soul may be saved and yet the mind has not been renewed, trained or converted to the things of God and His way of living and thinking. This is why we see some people who say they are saved, and very well maybe, and yet they live their lives the same way as the world, without any adherence or loyalty to God, His kingdom ways and principles.

Salvation is a regeneration, an act, a fact that transpires in a moment in time like the birth of a child. Once the child is born the process of learning and training of life begins. A new born baby is a person, yet the mind and body is underdeveloped and needs to be fed, taught and trained to live a responsible and productive life and the same goes for the life in Christ. We are all born into this fallen world system and have been taught according to a system that was established with the fall of mankind, and that was when Satan became the prince of this fallen world.

Salvation is a gift from God given instantly to those who by faith receive Christ as their Savior. It is being born spiritually as infant in a childlike state, unlearned and untaught regarding the things of God and His kingdom on earth.   We are to feed on the sincere milk of the Word that we may grow in Him.

1 Peter 2:2  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye  may grow thereby: KJV

Conversion is to change from one thought or belief; to turn around completely; to alter the nature of or to change from one form of functioning and thinking to another. Therefore conversion, for a true follower of Christ, continues to be a lifelong process of renewing the way we think and transform our minds from the fallen ways that we were taught. We have been schooled and educated in this life to the fallen ways and now our minds need to know and be taught how to operate in God’s kingdom principles and ways. Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by Him. Jesus came and brought a new way of living and thinking to those who are born into the kingdom of God on earth.

John 14:6   Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” NKJV

Conversion alters one’s heredity and changes their nature, their ideology, their family ties and their social and economicpositions. To be born of God is to have a change in your bloodline, old things are passed away and all things become new. True followers of Christ are no longer led by theirfallen human nature and character that is rooted in the old way of thinking and in the lies they were taught that cultivates division, hatred, conceit and self-importance.

True followersare converted through the knowledge of Christ which alters the mainspring of a person’s heart and soul which, will not only change their actions but their motives also. They will no longer be ruled by their natural affinities but to being led by the spiritual and supernatural nature of God. They will begin to desire to know their God, His principles, His kingdom ways and to do the will of the Father.

As the Spirit of God gave life to Jesus, this same Spirit, when we are born again, enters into our lives. We become a living spirit born into the family of God by Christ Jesus. Most people who are born again do not realize their purpose or why they were born again. The enemy tries to keep God’s people in darkness as to their purpose. To be born again is a means to an end, and that end is becoming God’s image bearers. We are to learn how to operate in God’s authority and cultivate His kingdom on earth. The end is being part of a royal family andwe have a new culture, and are new citizens of the kingdom of God. This is the eternal life that we should know, the true and living God and we should reflect the glory of God in the earth by doing His will.

God has adopted us as His children and now we are children of The Most-High God.  Now God is our heavenly Father and King, so we are brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus was fully God and was born as the Son of Man and He gave His life so that we may live abundantly on earth.

We are no longer part of this fallen world system. Though we live in this world we have a new home, a new family and a new citizenship in heaven.

1 Peter 2:7-8 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

Many people are living in anxiety and stress because they have allowed the offenses of this world to be their steady diet and their daily sustenance, which feeds them and keeps them in a constant cycle of distrust and hate.  They are stumbling because they refuse to operate in forgiveness, love and the truth according to His Word.

Great is the peace of them that love the word of God and live according to His kingdom principles and ways because they will not allow the offenses of this world to take root in their hearts or cause them to live in resentment and bitterness.

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? NKJ

We were once strangers to God and His kingdom ways, but Christ came so that we may become children of God and joint heirs with Christ in His kingdom on earth. That is why we are called strange, because we are different from those who live their lives on earth only to satisfy themselves. We are not of this world but of the family of God and our real home is to be onewith God.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. NKJV

We were chosen by God to be royal priests to God, His own special people who will proclaim Him in this dark and perverted world and intercede for those who are lost. That is the office of priesthood, to represent and intercede for the people before God.  Through faith in the completed work of Jesus, people from every tongue, tribe and nation are able to come to God, to know and worship Him and to reflect His image on the earth.

Humanity went astray doing what they wanted and turning their backs on God.  God called Abraham and made a nation of people, the Jews, to represent Him on the earth.  God promised to send the Righteous Lamb of God, Jesus, who would one day come to take away the sin of the world.  Jesus, our High Priest would become the sacrifice to God and represent the people before God and to pay the price so that God would forgive their trespasses and sins.  Jesus sits at the right hand of God and intercedes for His people

1 Peter 2:11-12 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Our hearts will develop idols that will compete with our allegiance and commitment to the love of God.  When we allow ourselves to be distracted and continuously focus our gaze at the things of this world, these things will become our priority, our heart idols and the center of our affection. The world has so many attractions that will try to lure the eyes of Christians from the word of Christ. We are told to let our eyes be focused on what is good and that is the light of Christ. If people allow this world to become their main focus, they will eventually find themselves living in darkness.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. NKJ
