- A Christ centered life is one that is focused upon Jesus with a commitment, a pledge and obligation of loyalty, and devotion to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Master, the one who controls, instructs and direct their lives.
- A Christ centered life, is a life well lived through fellowship with Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is vibrant worship, a good knowledge of who Jesus is and a close, intimate relationship with Him. A Christ centered life is one in harmony, unity and fellowship with others, and it is praying forboth friends, enemy and opponent a like. A Christ centered life is one of forgiveness, forgiving everyone, everything regardless of their position, whether they feel regret or not. Forgiving is being at peace with yourself and God, but it is not putting self in harm’s way by allowing people access to us. It is trusting God to vindicate, provide, protect us and give us peace no matter the situation.
- It is hard for most people to live a Christ centered life, because Christ is revealed by the person of the Holy Spirit through the word of God and it is the Holy Spirit that gives us the power to live this life. Not many people have actually read the Bible and gone through it from Genesis to Revelations and very few read the Bible daily as a means of fellowship and hearing from God.
- Many people will read the Bible for information to gather facts in preparation of a message. For a lot of us the cares of work commitments, family responsibilities and daily commitments put time constraints on us giving this the time we want.Often times we will hear the word of God but will not take the time to let it take root in our hearts.
- Mark 4:14-20 The Sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it and bear friit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
- A Christ centered life is one that is lived by the power of the Holy Spirit, that alone makes us di)erent and strange to the world and our friends, we become the odd person out of the loop. There is fear of rejection of not being involved, or not invited by others to their gatherings, or being ostracized. The need to be accepted, may incline some people toward making an idol of self, by allowing self-centeredness to sit on the throne of their hearts instead of Christ. A Christ center life is lived by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. The person of Jesus left and returned to heaven and sent the Holy Spirit to us. The presence of the Holy Spirit that is who He is, God Himself within usthe One who can change our heart. The Power of Holy Spirit is what He does and is seen through His work and He can change our circumstances. The person of the Holy Spirit comes to live within us to reveal and instruct us as God’s children. The power of the Holy Spirit comes upon us for the service and the work of God to a lost world.
- God’s people are indwelt by the presence of the Holy Spirit. God’s people are endorsed, recognized, validated by His presence, it is the Holy Spirit Himself living within and through us! It is the Holy Spirit with us that will help us to re0ect and reveal God’s love. He helps, comforts, guides, teaches, counsels, strengthens, prays and intercede for us to God. The HolySpirit is the greater One inside, who bear witness to the truth and He reveals the truth that frees us from bondages and He gives us gifts to minister to the church and empowers us.
- The presence of the Holy Spirit is what keeps us Christ centered and in fellowship with God. No one can really know Jesus unless it is revealed by the Holy Spirit.
- 1 Corinthians 12:3-7 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are di4erences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. Butthe manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit all
- Everyone will not respond the same way in relationship to the Holy Spirit. Some people have a high intense emotion toward God, while others a quiet since of reverence and respect. One is not more than the other. There are di)erences in culture, ethnicity, values and temperament of character, personality and appeal. God is a God of diversity and loves all humanity.
- Some people feel the emotional excitement of the Holy Spirit, while others believe in the reserve of His presence. Some cultures are loud and expressive. Some are quiet and reserve but all have uniqueness in reverence, worship and praise to God. It is the Power of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ that brings unity and the appreciation of the beauty of uni4ed praise to God, no matter the form.
- The power of the Holy Spirit, empowers, endorse and approved God’s message to a lost world. It is the lost who looks for signs, and signs are for the lost, but faith is for the believer.
- The Power of the Holy Spirit is what He does! God’s message is endorsed, certi4ed and validated by the power of the Holy Spirit. Signs are given for the unbelievers. Speaking God’s word with foresight, trust, loyalty and Faith is the stamp, and trademark of believers, they do not look for signs they operate in faith.
- 1 Corinthians 14: 22 Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe.
