It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2

God has given purpose to His creation. Everything that exists has the purpose to live the life it has been given in the place in which it stands. Plants grow where they are planted and they produce after its kind, it provides and meet the needs of the things around it. While living plants can provide oxygen, produce food and display beauty in its everyday existence. When we look at nature we see God’s handy work and can get an understanding of His natural and spiritual principles that are pleasing to Him.

Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought froth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. NKJ

A firefly has a short existence its adult life may extend one to two months and yet in this short life span it lives, reproduces after its kind, brings light to dark places and beauty to those who admire them. There is nothing spectacular done in this short life but it lived and impacted the things around it. It expressed God’s created purpose for its life by simply being and doing what it does naturally, to be a light in darkness and to reproduce after its kind.

Each one of us can fulfill God’s created purpose for us by simply living the life God has placed in us, reflecting His imageand letting those around us see God’s life and His light in our lives.  Thereby we are reproducing after our own kind in the image of God. Every person has the ability to reproduce after its kind, though everyone may not give natural birth to children we all can reproduce in others the life and light God has placed in us to those around us.

Isaiah 54:1, 13 “Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD. NKJ

All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. NKJ

As we live a life that honors God, one that shows His love in our relationships, this will be light in a dark and perverse world. Jesus tells us to take His yoke upon us, which is to learn of Him and His way is easy and His burdens are light. But the fallen mindset and ill-religious people will try to place heavy burdens on humanity to make us live a life according to their expectations but they are not of God.

Matthew11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. NKJ

Matthew 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. NKJ

Mankind in Adam and Eve were created in a time when aperfect world system existed and their purpose was to live and engage life around them according to God’s word. They haddominion over the earth and reflected the glory of God’s image to the things around them. Then as a fallen and marred humanity, they no longer reflected their creator but lost their created form and became subservient to a fallen world and the attacks of Satan.

We have heard many people say, “God gave us common sense,” but it is a lie and you cannot find that in His word. God gave us His perfect wisdom and the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us but common sense was a result of the fall. It is humanity trying to bring reason and sense of function to their life apart from God.   When people say, God gave us common sense to do… we should ask, “where it that in His word?” Some people are quick to say what they think and say what they have experienced or heard others say but these are all results of a fallen, sin infested world system.  Only by God’s word we can validate what is true, wise and right and we are to build on these truths as God reveals them to us.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.” For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, To whom He said, “This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest,” and, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear. NKJ

The things we hear often are the things we tend to remember and believe. Again, we have heard the saying, “God gave uscommon sense,” and many people believe this saying is true. They believe they are operating correctly when they do things according to their common sense and yet they refuse to obey God’s word. They listen to their own desires and those things that are common in their lives and society. God’s wordconstantly tells us that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are far above what we are thinking. The only way we will know the truth of God’s ways is to study and listen to His words. When we have the Holy Spirit in us He will guide us in truth and the ways of God.

Isaiah 58:7-8 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: Let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” ways the LORD. NKJ

After the fall, the Holy Spirit; the wisdom of God, no longer resided in mankind. People are now subjected to distorted and fallen views that are influenced by Satan that can blind their eyes to the truth of God’s word. Mankind began operating in “common sense,” which is a deformed logic and distorted way of thinking that is common to fallen humanity. It is a trick of the enemy to have people believe if everyone is doing it, then it must be oaky. Thus, they believe in their common sense and influence others to make poor judgements because most people are doing the same thing.

A quote by William Penn put it simply, “Right is right, even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”

We are to look at the life of Jesus, who is the example of mankind living on the earth in fulfilling our purpose and reflecting the glory of God. In Jesus’ everyday walk He engaged the people that were around Him. He met the needs of those who came to Him, interceded and prayed for those who were with Him and was in a continuous relationship and constant communication with God, His Father. This is what we are to learn of Him; how to be meek and lowly in heart, how to acknowledge God in all we do and let Him direct our path.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all you ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. NKJ

Wisdom is given in the person of Jesus Christ; He indwells us through the Holy Spirit and we are told to search out wisdom. When we lack wisdom, we are to ask God to give us wisdom and He says, He will give it liberally. When we ask God for godly wisdom we are asking for the person of Christ to come into our lives. The simplicity of asking God for wisdom is hidden in the process of faith and we are told to search for it like a hidden treasure. Wisdom is asking Jesus to become our Lord, it is a confession of faith.

Proverbs 2:2-5 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. NKJ

1 Corinthians 1:30

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— NKJ

The wisdom of this world is based on intellect, facts and information which is rooted in a knowledge that is corrupted by the fall of mankind and is not wisdom at all. True wisdom is of God and He is a person, He is the Son of God who is made to bewisdom for us. Therefore, asking God for wisdom is asking God for the Spirit of Christ to come into our lives to be our Savior. With Christ comes not only wisdom but righteousness, sanctification and redemption. God gives us generously and abundantly more that we asked and we are told to seek Him while He may be found.

Isaiah 55:6-7b Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near…. Let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him and our God, for He will abundantly pardon. NKJ

Titus 3:4-6  But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,  not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,  whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, NKJ

Salvation and wisdom are from God and He has made it simple for all who ask that they may receive it, but it is a process of seeking it out and obtaining wisdom. We are told to pursue it asif searching for jewels, silver and gold, which takes effort and diligence.  The eyes of fallen mankind have been blinded to God’s truths by Satan the deceiver. Some believe the lies of this world which are rooted in pride, arrogance and egotism.  Whenever we put self-importance above the truth of God’s word we are operating in darkness.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.  NKJ

Job 28:12-15 “But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?  Man does not know its value, Nor is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, ‘It is not in me’;
And the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’  It cannot be purchased for gold,
Nor can silver be weighed for its price. NKJ

Job 18-21a No mention shall be made of coral or quartz,For the price of wisdom is above rubies.   The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, Nor can it be valued in pure gold. “From where then does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding? It is hidden from the eyes of all living… NKJ

Job 28: 27-28 Then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out. And to man He said,‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’” NKJ

Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, which is a respectful reverence for God’s word, fear of the Lord is to hate, detest and despise the evil that is seen in pride, in arrogance, in mean and perverse speaking. Wisdom is fearing or esteeming God’s word above all else including every lie the enemy and all this fallen world system may bring to deter or frighten us.  When we have a knowledge of God’s spiritual principles and His kingdom ways we will have a better understanding of how we are to operate so that we may have the peace of God on the earth.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. NKJ

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate. NKJ

Proverbs 2:6-7 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; NKJ

Wisdom is hidden in the person of Christ and all who lack wisdom should ask of God and He will give it to us liberally. After we get Wisdom in the person of the Holy Spirit we are to search out knowledge and obtain an understanding of God’s kingdom ways. It is difficult to be successful in a country, government or kingdom without knowledge of its constitution, laws and method of operation and so it is in the kingdom of God.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who give to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given him. NKJ

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. NKJ

We are told to study to show ourselves approved unto God so you can rightly divide the truth of God’s word. We are to ignore and to reject profane, disrespectful, vain and speculative speaking of arrogant and prideful people because it only promotes the increase of ungodliness. We are to turn from the deceitful lies of this world and of this fallen world system that creates division, hatred and disunity among the people God created to reflect His image and likeness in the earth.

2 Timothy 2:15-16 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. NKJ

To fear God is to hate evil, pride and arrogance. To fear Satan is to be in dread and anxiety. Every person will choose whom they will reverence and respect most in this life by their actions. Whether it be the wisdom of God and the turning from the haughtiness and egotistical ways of mankind or to continue in a fallen world system in darkness blinded by Satan who brings division and keeps people from truth and light.

Begin With Wisdom

Wisdom is not intellectual knowledge and it is not just the accumulation of information and facts. Wisdom is knowing and respecting God, His word of truth and His created purpose for our lives. Wisdom begins with understanding our created purpose and is the first step toward living a fulfilled and purposeful life.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. NKJ

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate. NKJ

To fear God is to hate evil, to hate the evil that He hates and to have respect for His word and His truth. Fear of God is not a matter of shaking with anxiety but to have a reverence, admiration and a worship for God the Creator. It is conforming to His truths and principles as the rules of right conduct to help us make the distinction and discern between right and wrong.  Wisdom is an amazement and devotion with reverential respect for God that places His word of truth above all else.

We were created in God’s image and likeness to have enjoyment in all His creation and to bring Him pleasure as we reflected His likeness in the natural world that He has create for us. Even in this fallen state we can see God’s glory in His creations, the oceans, the mountains, the canyons and in all living creatures and life which reflects His beauty and majesty.  When we walk in wisdom with a reverent respect for God’s word we are able to live a life that is happy with purpose. Though it may not be without struggles and the challenges of life’s disappointments we will have the wisdom of God to know how to navigate life’s many disillusionments and frustrations.

Proverbs 3:13-17 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding: For her proceeds are better than the profit of silver, and her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

When we look at what wisdom brings, we find it is what most people are searching all their lives; length of days, riches and honor, pleasantness, friendliness and peace. God gave uspurpose in family, friends and relationships.  Everyone at some point want fellowship with their family and friends and to be at peace with much congeniality and community. To have the richness of our needs met with honor, joy in unity andbrotherhood.   Wisdom is hating evil and respecting God’s principles and this is the main thing.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principle thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. NKJ

God says wisdom is the principle thing, then we should make obtaining wisdom our main object, and goal and this should be the basis of our accomplishments in life.   Wisdom is to get the truth of God’s word. In getting His word we should get an understanding and knowledge of His kingdom principles and precepts that we may operate with wisdom in this life. Fear of God is to disdain, shun and turn away from evil, pride and arrogance and to pursue peace, this is the beginning of wisdom.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. NKJ

1 Peter 3:10-12a  For “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and purse it. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers… NKJ

We are born into this world without godly wisdom and we lack understanding of God’s principles and kingdom ways. We are told to ask for wisdom and understanding from God and He will give it to us. Most people refuse to acknowledge that they are in need, they refuse to let go of their pride and humble themselves before God or to ask for wisdom. Wisdom comes from God and He has promised to give it liberally to those who ask and He will not criticize or scold us for asking.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who give to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given him. NKJ

Obtaining wisdom is a simple process but it has been hidden from the hearts of fallen mankind. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, hating evil is the fear of God, then we should come to know God’s ways and hate pride, arrogance and perverse speaking.  When we lack wisdom, we are to ask God and Hewill give it to us generously and abundantly.

Proverbs 2:6-12 For the LORD give wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things. NKJ

The fear of the Lord is having His vision in our hearts and to love what He loves and to hate the evil that He hates.

In the Beginning

Have you ever wondered how it all started? How did this all come to be and why do we exist?

John 1: 1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. NKJ

In the beginning the Word was Jesus the Son of God and He was with God from the beginning. Jesus created all thingsthrough the spoken of God, whether it was the things on the earth, principalities or powers. In Christ is the life of all things and by Him all things exist.

Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominion, or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. NKJ

Colossian 1:17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. NIV

Christ is the root of every culture, every nation, every tongue and people. He created all that is and nothing exits or was made that He did not create be it in the natural or the spiritual world. All things were created perfect in form by a Holy and Just God. But a will and the ability to choose were also given to the angels and to mankind on earth. Everyone will choose to live in obedience to the truth of God’s word or deny God and go their own way.

God created a high angel, Lucifer, created in perfection fell because of his choice to rise up in pride and to try to be as a god. This was the caused his destruction and he became a fallen being, Satan. Just as mankind fell from their original state into sin because of their choice to disobey God and to follow Satan.

To understand the reason for our existence and the direction we should take in life we must go to our created purpose, in the beginning.

Revelation 4:11 Thou are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou has created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. KJV

God created all that is for His good pleasure. God created a good and perfect world for mankind. He planted good seeds to produce good fruit in the earth but an enemy came and sowed false grain that brought death and destruction. God allowedboth to reside because He was not willing to destroy the good with the evil. Therefore, He permitted both to grow and mature on the earth in their chosen lifestyle which will reveal who they chose to served in the end.

Many people ask why did God create the devil? Or why did God allow evil to exist. God created a perfect angel and a perfect man but He allowed them to make their own decisions and not to be robots or like paper dolls that have no thought or emotion. God risk the rejection of those who would rebel against Him that He could live eternally with those who loved Him, rather than not creating mankind at all.

Most people would choose love and to have family and friends though some may leave and betray them. It is worth the risk to have a loving fellowship with those who choose to be part of our lives and accept the decision of those who decide to leave. rather than never having love or fellowship with anyone.

Our created purpose is to reflect the image of God on the earth and bring Him pleasure. To do this we must have knowledge of God to replicate and imitate His likeness. Then we must know what is pleasing to God so that we may know how bring Him glory.

Proverbs 15: 8b-9 …But the prayer of the upright is His delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but He love him who follows righteousness.

Hosea 6:6 For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

1 Chronicles 29: 17a I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness….

Psalms 147: 11 The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy. NKJ

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. NKJ

Our purpose is clear and our task is simple, to show the love of God as His representatives on the earth, to hate evil, pride, arrogance and rebellious and vicious speaking. It may be simple to say we are to put others before us, to be humble and to love those who hate us but simple does not always mean easy.

We may understand the love of God and that we should be humble and hate evil. But when it comes to living it out in real life situations it may not be that easy because we must confront self, pride and those we are associated that live in hate and havedifferent views. There will always be a testing of our commitment to truth as God has called us to live and to choose this day who we will serve.

Micah 6:6 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? NKJ

1 Peter 2:21,23 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

Who when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; NKJ

The Word of God is the Son of God, Jesus, who took on flesh, the body of man that He may restore all mankind to Himself.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. NKJ

Christmas envelops the spirit of giving and grace. It is during this season more than any other that people are moved to give charitably to others and to those who are in need. It is in this Spirit that Christ came as a gift of grace and love to all mankind bringing with Him mercy and peace that we may know His joy.

Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men. NKJ

Luke 2:10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. NKJ

This good news of great joy is for all people, nations, tribes and tongues. Christ being the creator and sustainer of all that exists, He came to rescue His creation. Though we all were sold into bondage through the rebellion of sin, the love of Christ came to redeem and deliver us from this captivity.

Revelations 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands. NKJ

Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recover of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; NKJ

All heaven and earth rejoiced at the coming of our Savior, Lord and King. The living Word of God became flesh, the Son of Man and lived among His creation.  We now can walk in restoration and live in love and fellowship with God our Father. The love of God is relational in that it is displayed in relationships as father and son, as husband and bride and as brother to brother and as friend to friend.

John 20:17b….but go to My brethren and say to them, “I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.”

The gift of grace and life that Christ brings to us in our daily lives deserves the same adoration and worship that He received at the announcement of His birth.

Matthew 2:10-11 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. NKJ

Jesus brought another government to the earth, a spiritual kingdom that operates on the earth for God’s people. Jesus established a kingdom where we can walk in the light of the good news of Christ. Wherewith He has broken the yoke of sin and the rod of the oppressor. We are no longer chained to the sins of our past or the tyranny of men. There is a spiritual government, God’s kingdom on earth, that we now have access to through the belief and faith in the completed work of Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we have hope that we can live a different life on earth.

Isaiah 9:2,4,6,7a   The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. 4 For You have broken the yoke of his burden. And the staff of his shoulder, The rod of his oppressor, As in the day of Midian. 6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7a Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end…

God came to earth in the likeness of a human, the Christ child Jesus was born to walk and live on this earth just as we have and He is to be our example.  Jesus experienced the pain, sorrows and trials that we all have experienced living in this fallen world. Jesus came as a man to fellowship with us, to let us know He understands what we are going through and to set us free. Jesus experienced it all, the rejection, hurt, pain and even one of the most horrific deaths, the death of the cross, but with the love of God, He forgave us all our sins and wrongdoings.

To us was given the Son of God, The Son of The Most-High God for payment of our sin debt. Only the sinless Son of God could pay the debt humanity owed for their rebellion against God that plunged us into darkness.  Satan became the prince of darkness and the prince over this fallen system of government on the earth. Only the Blood of Jesus as the Son of God, could atone for the sin of mankind to bring us into His marvelous light.

Though it was at a great cost to God, He gave us His Son so that we could become sons of God, children of The Most-High King. We can now call God, Abba Father, because the sin debt owed has been paid and we are heirs of our everlasting Father through faith in Christ. He is a good Father who meets our every need and gives us our daily provisions.

God is Wonderful; He is full of wonder; He is amazing and breathtaking with the marvelous actsthat He does for us and He takes delight in giving to His children. God has given us His Holy Spirit as our Counselor and guide and if we lack wisdom in any situation we may ask God and He will give to us liberally and generously. They call Him Almighty God; there is nothing above Him in power and might.

We have seen some dominating people rise to power but God stands above them all. We can stand in faith and in trust the All Mighty God whom we serve and He will give us a peace that the surpasses understanding. Jesus is our Prince of Peace. God did not want man to live in fear of Satan, sickness, death, the wickedness of men or in fear of lack and poverty. Jesus came to dispel this darkness so that we may have in this world provision, protection and authority over our circumstances. As true believers and Christ followers we are no longer under the curse of sin and death but we have been set free by the Son of God, to be free in actions, thought and deeds.

Luke10:41-42 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.” NKJ

The key to peace is knowing where to put our trustand it must be in love God has for us. So many of people say they believe God and trust in His Word but do not know God’s character or His attributes and know little of His Word. The lack of understanding and knowing Him is why they become full of fear and doubt. Their minds have not been renewed to the new way of thinking, which is crucial to living successfully in the kingdom of God.

Babies are born into this natural world and they must learn how to navigate this worldly system to live successfully on the earth. The same is true in God’s Kingdom, those who are God’s people should learn how to operate in God’s kingdom/government while on the earth. Kingdom citizens, those who are re-born into the family of God have access to the spiritual kingdom/government of God on the earth. Some believers in Christ are ignorant of their authority and how to operate in His kingdom successfully.

When our minds are filled with the concerns and issues of this world it manufactures fear. When our minds are filled with the wonders of God, His Majesty and Sovereignty we are able to overcome fear and to live with peace and operate in God’s kingdom effectively. It is then that we are able todisplay the peace of God in our lives that people will marvel at.

Many people rely on stories of men and the traditions of their culture to teach them how to function in the kingdom of God. Unfortunately, what is passed down is not truth and lack the of knowledge of God’s word. This is the reason we see so many people who call themselves Christians living defeated. Some people have more knowledge of this world and have more faith in the worldly government system than they have knowledge of God’s word and faith in His kingdom.

Daniel 11: 32b …but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Those who know and trust in Jesus shall be strong and do great feats, deeds and achievements. Followers of Christ are under a new Government and New King who has power and authority over our present circumstances because we belong to Him and we live in a different kingdom.

The Good News of Jesus and His government is the reason we are celebrating the birth of Christduring this Christmas season.

Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men. NKJ

he spirit of Christmas is Grace in Christ Jesus! God is showing His grace, favor, kindness, goodwill and love to all humanity through Christ. Grace provides what we cannot obtain for ourselves, grace gives us forgiveness, love and mercy, which is undeserved, unmerited and unearned. We can express God’s love through kindness, goodwill and favor to others who may not deserve it but it is still given regardless of merit.

God so loved this world that He gave His best, Jesus, to save us even when we were in our worst state. God loved us while we were lost and did not care or love Him and He expressed His love in the Gift of Christ our Savior. The love of God sacrifices and gives even though it may not be received or be reciprocated.

Jesus emptied Himself of all His right as the Prince in heaven and humbled Himself to be born of flesh as a child on earth. He was born of flesh and restricted to a life in a fallen world fixed in an appointed time for the service of others. Jesus came to show the grace, mercy and love God has for all mankind.

Luke 2: 10-11 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. NKJ

God gave us His best gift; Jesus Christ His Son and the angels sang of this joy to all mankind and the men responded in worship. Wise men sought Him and gave gifts to honor the Child who was born to be King of kingsover all the earth. Wise men are still seeking Jesus and are giving gifts to honor Jesus as Lord and King.

These wise men went looking for the Christ though it wasa great distance way, at much cost and much preparation. They came from a far country to search out where Jesuswas born to give great and costly gifts they had prepared for the King, the One who was worthy of all they had and more.

These gifts were to show honor to the God in heaven andto Mary and Joseph so they could survive and provide for the Christ Child. We honor our God when we honor His children and give to those created in God’s image. When we give to the least of those in humanity, those who are in need on the earth, we are giving to God.

Proverbs 19:17 When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the LORD, and the LORD will pay you back. GNT

We should make it our tradition and to teach our children the true Spirit of Christmas is to give the gift of grace to others, to those who may be undeserving. Instead of teaching them to focusing on themselves and their friends we should be an example of God’s love and give to thosewho have not earned it but out of grace we give gifts. We should show love to honor our Lord and King by givingthe gift of grace to those who are without strength or assets.

We should be determined to express the love Christ has shown us to those who are underserving are around us. We should teach our children that Christmas is about the greatest gift ever given was given to us.  We should wantto give this good and great gift of God our Father to others rather than looking to receive one.

Romans 5:6, 8 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus walked in the grace of God as a man to fulfill His purpose. He was given the same power that we have access to today, the Holy Spirit. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation and the command to love others as He has loved us.

We should desire to give this gift of grace to others and determine how we will express this Spirit of Christmas, love and grace to those around us who are in need. During this time of the year the world softens its heart and expresses kindness and show compassion to one another. How much more should we, who are in the household and family of God, express His Grace to otherswho are without hope?

Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. NKJ

Jesus is our example and was led by the Spirit of God to give the good news of the gospel, that God’s kingdom has returned to the earth that we can now be forgiven and enter into His kingdom. Jesus showed the love of God to the brokenhearted that they did not have to be alone and that they can receive the Holy Spirit as their companion, guide and God as their Father. To those who wereenslaved to the appetites of the flesh and their addictions, they too can be set free by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We also can help those who are blind to the truth of God’s word by showing the love of God in our actions. Those who are oppressed through injustices of this fallen world system or who live under the tyranny of social or cultural hatred can be set free by the love of God through the blood of Jesus. Now is the acceptable time to receive from God this precious gift of Grace.

Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus is our reason for Christmas; He is our gift of graceand the reason we give to those who are unable to help themselves. Jesus came and provided what we could not provide for ourselves. Let us choose to be the provisionthat someone may need during this Christmas season. Let us be as the wise men of old and prepare gifts for our Sovereign King to show honor and to worship Him, through the people we serve who are in need.

Ephesians 4:7,12 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measures of Christ’s gift… for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, NKJ

This Christmas let us give the gift of Christ’s grace, in a word of encouragement, in an expression of concern, in the displaying of love to those who may even be ill tempered and unlovely but who are in desperate need of God’s love.

Great love was shown toward us when Jesus laid aside His Royalty and Majesty on High to become part of humanity on earth. He laid aside being called the Prince and Son of God in heaven to being called One conceived out of wedlock, having another Father, and not being Joseph’s child. He lived a life of sorrow, rejected by men and died on a cross. All this He endured because of His love and compassion for you, for us. Hedid this to redeem humanity from this fallen world system and introduce a new government and to become our Sovereign King in the kingdom of God on earth.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Childe is born Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. NKJ

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, and He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. NKJ

Many people see Jesus’ life as one filled with all glorious times until the crucifixion, but in reality Jesus humbled Himself and lived a life of rejection and confrontation with the irreligious people of His day. Jesus being Deity, The Creator and Sustainer of this world allowed Himself to become an infant, confined in the womb of a woman for nine months. He was raised asMary’s child living in the home with His stepfather and stepbrother’s and stepsisters. Jesus was rejected and taunted by men and attacked by Satan, yet He kept His eyes on the love He had for us, to rescues us from eternal death and to bring us into the family of God.

1 Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. NKJ

Mark 6:3 Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him. NKJ

God’s love is so great and His plan was so intricate and so complex that it was put into place to save us before the foundation of the world was laid. God foresaw our needs and fore-planned how He would come and rescue, release and saveus from our wickedness, depravity and sin. Jesus’ birth was announced with great majesty in the heavens but was revealed in meekness and humbleness on earth being born an illegitimate child of Mary in a stable.  Jesus’ life was threatened even as a child as Herod tried to kill Him and His family but they fledtheir home into another country to save His life.

Ephesians 1:4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. NKJ

Matthew 2:13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” NKJ

Jesus lived 30 years preparing for a three-year public ministry that would be filled with confrontation and hatred from men, with spiritual attacks from Satan followed by His death on the cross.   It was God’s love for us that was displayed in the life, death and resurrection of Christ.

Throughout His ministry they said Jesus had a devil spirit; he was a friend of sinners and called a winebibber or habitual drinker of alcohol. The irreligious of His day even tried to stone Him because they were offended by His truth.

Luke7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! KJV

Jesus despised the shame and humiliation that He went through but He focused on the joy that it would bring to mankindthrough salvation. Through faith, we who believed in Jesuswould become children of God and adopted into the family and kingdom of God. As true followers of Christ, when hardships and attacks come, we should press into the presence of God to see the spiritual view of these situations. Through meekness we too may see how lives could be saved or changed if we endured the shame as Christ did for the joy of possibly saving someone’s soul.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and shas sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. NKJ

Some people lose heart and give up because of hardships and the things they have had to endure. Whether we give up hope,or stand in faith, will depend on what we allow our focus to be centered on. When our eyes are on Christ and the eternal souls of mankind, these temporary afflictions and hardships will seem light and brief in comparison to entity.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the thins which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. NKJ

As followers of Christ we must train our eyes to look at the spiritual and eternal things rather than the natural and temporal. This is a practiced skill that takes time in God’s word and in the presence of God with a concerted effort to think on the things of God.  We all were born and raised to focus on the natural things of life, where much value was placed on the fleeting and passing things of this world.  Once we are born into the government of God’s kingdom, we are given the Spirit of God and we learn to esteem and discern the spiritual things of Godabove those of this world.

Unto us a Child was born, to die a death He did not deserve. Unto us a Son was given to live a life of rejection in a worldly system to bring us into a kingdom where we may live accepted in the commonwealth of God’s government. We were once aliens but now we are His Beloved and adopted into the royal family of God in His kingdom on earth.

Ephesians 2:12-13 That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. NKJ

As we look at the circumstance of Jesus’ birth, life and death and all that He went through, we see He did not allow any situation deter Him from His God given purpose. In celebrating Jesus, we are thankful for the way He stood steadfast on our behalf and look to Him as our example, our Prince of Peace and Joy.

God’s forgiveness comes by the atoning blood of Jesus. A just and holy God could not ignore the rebellion of mankind against Himself. God had declared the wages of sin is death and He must be true to Himself and His word. God said He has given the life blood on the altar to make atonement for the souls of mankind. God in His patience waited for mankind to be redeemed by the blood of Jesus, through His life, death and resurrection.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. NKJ

In the Old Testament, the blood of animals was given to covered for sin just for a time, but was not able to take awaysin. It was a foreshadow that pointed to the death of Christ which would pay the total debt of mankind for sin, with His atoning blood. It was the love and mercy of God that offered Jesus as our Savior.  It was the Grace of God that provided the payment for sin and gave all mankind another chance to be redeemed from the punishment of eternal death, through the death of His Son Jesus.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the alter, it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.  NIV

Ephesians 1:7 In Hi we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace NKJ

Some people think they can come to God for forgivenessbecause He is a Kind Father or because He is a loving God orbecause they feel sorry about the wrong they had done.  They would be trying to approach God on the basis of another way other than Jesus. We can only come to God for forgivenessthrough the blood of Christ. Forgiveness of sin is based on the payment for sin, which is Jesus’ life’s blood. A just and Holy God will judge sin and cannot allow sin to go unpunished. God is true to His character and His word and someone will die for the sins of mankind. We can accept the payment God has provided for us through Christ or stand in judgement before God based on our own works which cannot recompense for our sins.

All have sinned therefore all must make a payment for sin, now the question is whose blood will stand and pay the wages of our sin?  We can stand before God on our own merit and be judgedaccording to our sin and receive eternal death or we can accept the blood of Jesus as our payment in full, as a ransom that will set us free.  Jesus’ death is for the atonement for our sins and we can only stand before a holy and just God through faith in the redeeming blood of Christ.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. NKJ

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God. NKJ

People can be remorseful and sorry for what they have done and yet refuse to change, to repent, or change the way they actand live. They may have regret for the wrongs they committedbut refuse to accept Christ as their Lord and Savor to receiveHis forgiveness.  To repent is to change one’s direction and mindset to the things of Christ and not to simply live in regret. Esau gave away his birth rights for a simple meal and cried with remorse and regret but without a changed heart of repentance. There is a difference between regret and the sorrowof this world which leads to death and that of Godly repentance that leads to salvation.

Genesis 27:34 When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, Bless me- me also, O my father!” NKJ

2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world produces death. NKJ

The Holy Spirit will convict us of sin, in that He will bring those things to our conscience thought that we need to changeand then He will give us the strength to be transformed. The world is constantly accusing, belittling and degrading people because their faults and downfalls which may lead people into a state of depression and hopelessness. Godly repentance will help us to see our errors and He will assist us in change the way we live. We will be able to view things according to the light of God’s word and receive forgiveness of sin because of Christ.

We can turn from worldly regret to godly repentance by receiving by faith the saving grace of God in Christ and accept the blood of Jesus which takes away our sin. We are not to bury our heads in the sand, as though nothing is wrong or as though we are without sin but we are to confess our sins and acknowledge God in truth in the midst of our situation and focused our eyes on Jesus.

We can change our mindset from the negative pondering of our past and cast those thoughts on Christ.  When negative and discouraging thoughts come we should choose to focus our thoughts on His word and place our eyes on the goodness of God by thanking Him for His goodness, mercy and lovingkindness. We should only glance at the problems that are before us, so that we may know how to intercede and pray, but our focus, our attention and our eyes are looking to God.

1 Peter 5: 6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. NKJ

Psalms 62: My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. NKJ

Psalms 121:1-2   I will lift up my eyes to the hills- From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. NKJ

When we come to Christ we become regenerated where the old person is made into a new creation. The Fatherhood of God is seen as we are adopted into the family of God in rebirth through our faith in Christ. The love of God is shown through the atoning death of Christ for the forgiveness of sin. Those who refuse and reject Jesus, refuse the love and forgiveness of God. Forgiveness cannot be based only on the character of God’s love or Fatherhood and it cannot be separated from the savingfaith in the life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as our Savior.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJ

Ephesians 3:17 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love. NKJ

What are we teaching our children? What are they learning from us as parents and the worldly system around them? When we look at the number of hours we use and invest into our education, it will be an enormous amount of the available waking time. With 24 hours in a day 8 are allotted for resting, 8-10 for working or going to school, which leave 6 to 8 hours with our families to commune, fellowship and teach them social skills, our values and religious stances and beliefs.

We must plan specific time to teach our children and families our morals and ethics. If not, the world will consume them in their constant bombardment with public media to instill in our children their fallen views and values. We may raise our children in our homes and engage them in our daily routine andour lifestyle, but the world has more time to devote to their train of thought through school and public media.   We are told toinstructed and teach our children during our everyday living as we eat, as walk around and as we lie down and to have His word visible on the doorposts and on the gates (the places we visit frequently) as we enter in and go out.

Deuteronomy 6:7, 9 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your homes, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. – You shall write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates. NKJ

We as Christ followers who are in the family of God must be vigilant in guarding our families from over exposure to this fallen worldly system and to be more attentive to teaching, not only the word of God, but His kingdom principles, the “why” behind the way we live and the reasons our culture is based on integrity is for God’s glory. When people and children are taught the “why” behind their existence they can have a better understanding and a firmer commitment to their values.

John 13:15-17 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.  Verily, verily, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he who sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. KJV

Some people were raised in households that told them what to do and what not to do, without explaining the principles of God’s word and few understood the reasons behind those limits.  The lack of understanding of God, His word and not being aware of the truth behind the “why” they are to live a certain way, with boundaries, tend to make some people feel left out, prohibited or censored. While in truth these borders are for their protection and guard against the consequences of poor choicesand for them to be a light in dark places.

The word of God was given for instruction and to be an example so that we may know the craftiness of the adversary, the consequences of poor judgement and the righteousness and grace we have with the covering of God’s word.   We see the results of those who chose to go for the immediate satisfaction, as Esau sold his birth rite for a meal to satisfy his hunger at the moment. He did not think about his future or his family’s future in losing his rights as first born. We also, see David a shepherd, trusted God and became king over Israel.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. NKJ

We are to teach our children at a young age that they are part of two systems. As we teach them the values and traditions of their nation and culture we must also teach them the values and constitution of their heavenly kingdom.  They have dualcitizenship one in their present country and the other in heaven and they must learn how-to walk-in accordance to the laws of both country and kingdom. God knows where He has placed us, the nation, the culture and the society and we are there to reflectHis glory and His image as we walk in light of His word and to be a light for those around us. That is the “why” behind our lifestyle. If we live and hate as others and those around us they will see no difference, no light and will remain in darkness.

Ephesians 2:12-13,19 That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.  – Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. NKJ

In this time, we see many different philosophies, trains of thought and values. A long with the cults, witchcraft, magicallurements and enchantments that are being feed to us and our children through song, commercials, movies and public media.  We must be alert and observant to the things we say and do and what we allow our children to have access to, as their minds are like sponges and will soak up those lies and they may become part their belief system.

There is so much being taught that we cannot guard them from all evil but we can teach them what God says about the matter,to guide and to give them the tools they need to make thecorrect determination as to the righteousness of that situation. With all the electronic devices the truth of God’s word is available audibly to help us instruct our children.

Psalm 119:9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.  NKJ

Psalm 119:99-101   I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word. NKJ

The Proverbs will give them wisdom and discernment, the Psalms will show them how to cry out to God and to praise Him, the Old Testament will show how God is in fellowship and cares for us and the New Testament will reveal His Son, Jesus, His love, mercy and grace.
