Integrity- People of God

Jesus said the reason He came into the world was to give evidence, to  be a witness to and to report well the truth of God’s Word. If the truth is the reason for Jesus coming to the world it must be very important that we know this truth. At the beginning man believed Satan’s lie rather than God’s truth. God created man in His image, likeness and gave man dominion over all the earth. Yet, Satan came with his subtle lies enticing man to believe a lie and not God. This is the lie the world is still operating in.

One reason men can hate one another and have no respect for human life or culture is because they do not believe the truth that all humans are created in God’s image. This is why women can be treated as property and men can hate people who do not look or act like what they are accustomed. Because people are not seen as being created in God’s image.

John 18:17     You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king.

In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

God sent Jesus with truth so we should no longer believe the lie of the world. If we believe what the world says about us we will not know how greatly valued we are and that God paid a great price so we could be called children of God. Truth is, we are created in the image of God and if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are adopted into the family of God. We are children of the Most High King. When we know the truth then we are free from the lies of the world. It is the truth that we know that will make us free. Though God’s Word is true and stands sure; if we do not know it, understand it and accept it, it cannot set us free. They shall know the truth and the truth shall set them free.

The one thing God requires of us is that we submit our will to His Word. When we are faced with challenges we should pray and ask God to direct our steps and to let His will be done in that situation. It is when we try to do it all in our own strength we fall short. Ask and we will receive from God the wisdom and the strength to perform His good works.

John 8: 32      Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” NIV

Ephesians 2:10           For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

John 17: 16-19         They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.  As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.  For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified

It is God’s word that sanctifies us and set us apart from the world’s way of thinking. So many people follow the crowd because they have not taken time to read and know what the truth really is. Their eyes are blinded by the world’s way of self-preservation. Jesus came to testify of the truth. The truth we know and stand on will set us free from fear of the world, poverty and the fear of what man can do to us. If God be for us, who can be against us? God willingly gave His Son so we may live! There is nothing His Love will withhold from us.

Romans 8: 31-32        What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

When it is all said and done there are two kinds of people living on this earth; those who are of the truth and those who are of lies. Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Him. He tells those that refuse to believe Him they are of their father the devil, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 8:43-44              Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

 John 14:6       Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
