Integrity- People of God

God said, His people, are destroyed for lack of knowledge. They lack the knowledge of who they were created to be. It is not the world or Satan that destroys God’s people but, they are destroyed because they do not know who they are, or their purpose. Many do not understand that once their souls are saved they must change the way they think. Our thoughts and actions were trained up in the ways of this fallen world and in things that seem right but leads only to death. We also have an enemy who wants to destroy us because we are created in the image of God to be and act like Him.

God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of who they are in Christ. We are the Beloved of God. We are the image bearers of God Almighty. Created in His image to walk like, talk like, love like and be like God our heavenly Father. This is who we are and who we were called to be in this earth. Also, we were to have dominion and to reflect the image of God, to look and reflect our Abba-Daddy God where ever we are.

God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of the strategy of their enemy. God has given everyone a choice, a will and a mind so that we may choose our destiny. Satan, the enemy of God came and deceived mankind and planted seeds of doubt and rebellion in their minds causing doubt of God’s love and His perfect plan for our lives. Mankind in the beginning chose to obey Satan rather than God and then Satan became the master and lord over all that was given to mankind in the earth. God in His love and mercy toward us would not leave us in that fallen state.

God made us like Him, perfect and our purpose is to have dominion over our lives and to replenish the earth with people who look like God our Father and Creator. It was a man who lost dominion and it must be a man to restores it. Jesus came as a man, lived a righteous life before God and offered His life as payment for ours. Jesus who knew no sin became sin so that we could be made righteous before God.

It is because of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection and ascension that the kingdom of God was restored on the earth. Now there are two world systems operating on the earth; this fallen world system that Satan is using to destroy people’s lives and the Kingdom of God. We were all born into this fallen world system but when we are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit we are born as children into God’s kingdom.

God’s people are destroyed because they do not take the time to know their Father God and His ways and they continue in the old mindset and practices of this world. They do not know the truth of God’s word. Just as Adam and Eve had a choice to obey God or Satan, we too must make a choice for our lives. We can believe the lies of this world that lure us into believing and behaving the same old way or we can renew our mind to know and trust the true and living Word of God. It is the word of God that transforms our old way of thinking and give us hope and a new life.

We all will choose the type of life we will live, either by conscious choice or by default as the results of the actions we take in life. We can stay and operate in this fallen world system full of pride, hate and destruction or we can choose to seek God’s Kingdom and learn of His way and His will for our lives.

Jesus gave us one new commandment, to love one another as He has loved us, and God has given us the power of the Holy Spirit to live in love and to walk it out in this earth. It is by the love we have that the world and we ourselves will know that we are disciples of Jesus. Love is the mark of a true believer of Christ not church attendance or flashy performances.

John 13:34-35 A new command I give you; Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” NIV

The one new thing Jesus gave us to do was to love one another as He has loved us. We must recognize the schemes and strategies the enemy uses against us. There are two weapons that the enemy uses against those created in God’s image. Pride and un-forgiveness are two sides of the same coin; both will lead to destruction.

Pride wants to lift itself up above the word of God it is rooted in the very act of rebellion making one believe they are better than others. Un-forgiveness refuses to forgive others and puts self above God’s word and denies the blood of Christ that was shed for all mankind. Both are an abomination before God and blasphemy against work of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. NIV

I Peter 5:5-7 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. NIV

Mankind was not made for themselves, to only satisfy and gratify oneself. God made mankind to display His love in this world. Jesus is our example. Christ, the perfect and just man, when He was hated, detested, insulted and abused, He did not return the hate and abuse. Jesus humbled Himself and committed the situation to God who sees all and vindicates all things. Even while He was on the cross, skin torn from His body, whipped, nails in His hands and feet with people laughing, taunting and teasing Him, He did not retaliate.

Jesus asked God to forgive them, because they did not know what they were doing or who they were doing it to. When people misuse us they do not know that we are children of God the Most High King. We too can pray, Father forgive them; heal them and save them for they do not know what they are doing.

This is our purpose to be the love of God in the earth and this is how we walk in love and in forgiveness. We humble ourselves before God and allow Him to vindicate us and lift us up in due time. This love walk is not something we can do in our own fallen nature. It is only done in the power of the Holy Spirit, God in us giving us the strength to forgive, to release our pride and love those who despitefully abuse us.

Love is shown and displayed in the form of respect. A respect for God as our Creator is displayed as respect for all who are the image bearers of God. This reveals the love God has for all people regardless of race or social status. God is not willing that any should perish. Our position in Christ is to show His love even when people are unlovely.
