In the beginning mankind believed the lie of Satan and humanityhas been living in that lie ever since. Satan is the father of lies and has blinded the eyes of this fallen world system so that it would remain in that lie. Jesus came to show us the truth of who we were created to be and the truth of who God is. God is our Father and He loves us with an everlasting love and so He sent Jesus to bear witness to this truth. This was the first battle in the garden and it is still the battle that every person will face in lifetoday. Everyone will stand at the crossroad of life and decide whether they will listen and obey the voice of God or listen to Satan’s lie.
John 18:37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truthhears My voice.” NKJV
There are so many lies that this worldly system has been founded upon and so much so that many people have not heard the truth of God’s word and will find it hard to discern truth from lies. For this reason, Jesus said, He came into the world to be a witness to truth but many will make their culture and ethnic beliefs their preferences. Jesus came to bear witness to what truth really is on the earth, God’s word. From the fall of mankind in the garden to this present age the human race has exalted their rights, pride and self-preservation and their pride has reigned supreme over their lives.
Pride was the thing that made Satan fall from a position of an exalted angel into becoming Satan, the father of lies. Pride is at the root of all wickedness and sin in the world. It is because of pride that people will betray their brother, destroy a life and cast down a whole nation of people just so that they may be exaltedand live lavishly on the earth. Many people are taught to believe the lie that this life on earth is all there is. By believing this lie and through the choices they make many will forfeit their eternal souls for this fleeting time on earth.
This parenthetical time has a beginning and an end and it is given to allow every person to choose their eternal loyalty and their eternal destiny. Without the knowledge of this truth many people have made decisions based on temporary wealth, money and property, which will eventually perish, and many are forfeiting not only their eternal souls but also, the souls of their children. This may be done out of ignorance to the truth of God’s purpose and they are blinded by the lies of Satan and seek to be exalted in this present time.
We see people jockeying for the positions of elevation andcultures and societies developing systems with different measures, methods and processes that will systematically allow some nations and people to be exalted while consuming other nations and devouring God’s people as if they were bread. Many are forfeiting their eternal souls and those of their people and families for the immediate satisfaction of this present moment for themselves and their clans. This is a horrifying thought, to think when they wake up in eternity only to find they lived lavishly for a moment in time only to spend eternity in regret. Much like the rich man and the poor beggar whom he would not give crumbs from his table and when rich man died he found himself in eternal torment. He asked that someone be sent to tell his family to change because he did not want them to end the way he did.
We can only wonder how many people have died and wish that they could change their family heritage and the legacy that they have passed down to their children and loved ones. There is a day of reckoning, a day where the hearts and thoughts of every person will be revealed and it will show whose report theybelieved, the truth that Jesus came and displayed for the world to see or the lie of the enemy.
Luke 16:19-20a,22-23,27-31 There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table….
So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels toAbraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom
Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ NKJV
Many people profess to believe in God but they do not trust God to be faithful to His word. That is why so many falls into the trap of contending and competing for ill gained riches the world’s way. They operate by the same standard as this fallen world rather than a belief in the truth of God, His word and His love for them. God knows our needs and will richly supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. God has given us a different way, a way of humility and trust in the truth of God’s word that He will provide for His children.
Matthew 6:31-33 Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’2 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. NKJV
This is a simple message of God and His truth. God loves those created in His image and they are of great worth to Him. God loved us so much that He sent His best, Jesus, to redeem all mankind back into a position of fellowship with Him not only as God our Creator and King but as Abba Father, our Daddy who is God. However, it is a choice that every person will make for themselves.
