It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2

Ambassadors for Christ

Our natural physical bodies are born into a parenthetical set of time and space, in that we have a beginning and an ending. We are given a set amount of time to live on this earth, to display our choices, accomplishments and to complete our tasks. Then based on our choices and actions, the results will dictate our destiny. Christ came to redeem us from sin and has given us an opportunity to be re-born into the kingdom of God to become His ambassadors in our current countries, nations and stationduring our time on earth.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ behalf, be reconciled to God. NKJ

Mankind in the beginning was created as a living soul in communion with their Creator God, Elohim, with the purpose to reflect His likeness on the earth.  As a result of the fall we are now all born into this world with a human nature, a body of flesh, with the characteristics of fallen humanity that has been influenced by our culture, customs and current times.

Adam the first man was created as a living soul but his God-like soul died when he sinned and he and was no longer living in his created state but in the fallen nature of humanity. The created purpose for humanity was to replenish the earth with God’s likeness and His Glory during their span of time on the earth. God’s purpose did not change but the living soul of mankind died and the natural, fallen, rebellious man came into existence.

Jesus, the last Adam, came as a life-giving Spirit, a life quickening spirit that is given to all true followers who are re-born into the family and kingdom of God through the HolySpirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to live this life span in God’s likeness and in fellowship with God.  We can show His love and as His ambassador we can represent Him in the family, community, nation and in the life where He has placed us.

1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. KJV

Blood was shed and the skins were made to be a covering forthe nakedness of mankind in that they had lost God’s glorious light, which was their covering before the fall. The blood of every lamb sacrificed according to the Mosaic law pointed to Jesus. As the perfect Lamb of God, Jesus, would one day come and offer His blood as an atonement for the sins of all mankind. Now Christ has come and the ultimate sacrifice has been madefor those who trust in the completed work of Christ through faith and our sins are atoned.  Followers of Christ are covered with the righteousness of God by grace through our faith in Jesus.

Genesis 3:  Unto Adam also and his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins and clothed them. KJV

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the alter to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. NKJ

Romans 3:22-24 Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is not difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. NKJ

Many who call themselves Christians are living according to their natural affinities and kinships, be it their race, their cultureor social status, without regard to their spiritual connection as being in the family and kingdom of God. True followers of Christ have the Holy Spirit in them to teach them how to mature in the spiritual principles of God.

We are to be ambassadors for His kingdom as we engage and enjoy our kinships, cultures and status on earth. We are to live with an appreciation of our race, culture and nation but with the love of God and to show His compassion to others. As true and mature followers of Christ we are to reflect His likeness in the heat of adversity and in the midst of chaos, we are to show grace, mercy and love to all humanity.

Luke 9:54b-55,56a  … Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?  But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them”… NKJ

As ambassadors of Christ, we are living in these God given placements and assignments so to be light in dark places. If we do not allow our light to shine in the midst of dark situationspeople will not be able to see or understand that there is a different way, another kingdom and King who should rule and reign in these times. This is a hard task and we need the fellowship of God and His presence to let the light of His glory shine upon us in our private time, that we may reflect His lightand represent Him well in public.

John 1:4-5  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. NKJ

2 Corinthians 4:6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. NKJ

The connections that we are born into are seen through ourculture, race and nation and our spiritual connections should be just as apparent as our natural ones in the way we live our lives. Our spiritual likeness and awareness of God as our Father and King must rise above our natural sympathies so that God will be exalted and His kingdom ways and principles will be elevated above all else. It is an ambassador’s lifestyle and quietway of living out their kingdom’s statutes and decrees that speak and commune with others without a word.  Our actions are the loudest and best representation as ambassadors to those who were taught in this worldly system.

James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in meekness of wisdom. NKJ

1 Peter 2:12 Having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation. NKJ

1 Peter 3:1b … that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct…. NKJ

Our words do not have to be loud or boisterous but the way we live and walk before our families and friends can quietly portray in our communities the lifestyle of an ambassador that resembles the kingdom of God that we are representing.
