Integrity- People of God

We are told that wisdom is the principle thing and we are to obtain knowledge of God through the life of Christ. Whileobtaining this knowledge we must get an understanding of God’s word that we may operate effectively in His spiritual kingdom. We are to get an understanding of the laws and principles of God and the spiritual warfare that we are in as well as how to use the spiritual weapons we are given so to bevictorious in battle.  

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principle thing; Therefore get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding. NKJ

Psalms 119:104 Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. 

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were called, and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. NKJ 

Without an understanding of God’s word, people tend lean to their own inclinations, thoughts and ways. We are told not to be wise in our own eyes but we are to get an understanding of God’s truths and precepts that we may maneuver well in HIskingdom on earth.

Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones.

The scriptures say wisdom is to hate evil, arrogance and the perverse speaking of prideful men.  While we obtain wisdom,we are to get an understanding of God’s kingdom ways so that we may know how to operate successfully as we face our daily challenges. God reveals His ways to us through our communion and fellowship with Him. 

Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.  

One of Satan’s greatest weapons against mankind is to keep them in darkness, not allowing them to see the spiritual principles that are in God’s word. While in darkness they will lack an understanding of how to navigate and be effective in the spiritual kingdom of God. 

People are constantly searching for happiness and a meaningful life. Some people invest most of their time and energy to obtain wealth and fame, they believe this will bring them a sense of accomplishment and delight. We have heard from many who took this path and at the end of their lives they concluded they went searching for life’s satisfaction in all the wrong places. Life’s purpose and fulfillment are not found in climbing the corporate ladder, accumulating wealth or fame but it is in God, the Creator and His design for us. We were created to be inrelationship and fellowship with God our Father through Jesus Christ whom He sent to display His likeness and His love that we may demonstrate this love to our family, community andthose around us. 

Psalms 37:3-4 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. NKN

We are to seek an understanding of how the kingdom of God operates and to trust in Him and believe in His faithfulness toward us. We are not fighting a war against flesh and blood,people who are created in His image they are just souls being held captive by Satan and his demonic forces. Our battle is a spiritual battle and our warfare is against principalities of evilness and wicked spiritual powers that comes to seduce, ensnare and entrap humanity and those who are in authority with their dreadful and atrocious schemes. 

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. NKJ

Because we are in the flesh, we tend to judge everything by itsnatural and fleshly appearance.  When we obtain knowledge of God’s kingdom principles and the spiritual battle that we face, we will understand that we are not to get angry or mad with people. When we see evildoers appearing to prosper in their wickedness we are not to allow anger to rest in our spirit, because it will only cause us harm. Anger and bitterness can become so deeply rooted that it will casus us to defile ourselves and spew that corruption on those we influence and those who are around us. 

Hebrew 12:13-15 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by this many become defiled; NKJ

We are instructed to pursue peace with all people and in the natural this is an impossible thing to do without God.  We are told to put on the whole armor that God has given to us to fight this spiritual battle. We are to know and understand our spiritual weaponry so that we may stand victorious against the methods of Satan.  Most people in the natural world would rather pick up a brick or cruse the person that is before them, rather than put on the armor of God and pray against the spirit of wickedness that is behind that person. No one is born cruel and every child is born innocent but it is the cruelty and evilness of the enemy who comes to steal the love of God and tries to overtake them in the hatred, ruthlessness and the vindictiveness of the rulers of darkness of this age. 

Ephesians 6: 13-18  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.  NKJ 

We are to understand the kingdom of God and the warfare that we are in, which is against principalities and the powers of darkness. We are to ask God to give us an understanding of our weaponry of warfare and how to use it the midst of our struggles. Then we will be able to judge justly according to the word and walk humbly before God. To understand God’s love for humanity will help gives us the ability to show His love, mercy and forgiveness to those who may have misused or abused us. 

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. NKJ

God displays His love for mankind as He waits patiently and tolerates the ungodly allowing them time for repentance. God’s desire is that all humanity will return to Him and that none shall perish but that choice is based on the will of every individual person.
