To be Blessed to Have Children Who Are Blessed, Prosperous and Favored.
Psalm 112:1-9
Praise the LORD! (Hallelujah!) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who fears the LORD [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with obedience], Who delights greatly in His commandments.
Praise to the Most-High God. Blessed, fortunate, prosperous and favored by God is the person who stands in reverent fear of the Lord God, who worships in admiration, obedience, devotion and in awe of who He is and His name. Because they take great delight, joy and satisfaction in performing, and doing His commandments, and instructions; to love the image bearers of God.
His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. Light arises in the darkness for the upright;
Those who delight and obey God, their children and grandchildren will be mighty on the earth. They chose to be an upright generation before the Lord and their children will be prosperous and favored. In their house will be wealth and riches because they chose to receive the righteousness of Jesus, which is faith in the life, death and resurrection of Christ. It is not their wrong or right doing, but faith in the completed work that Christ has done to save them. The light, the love and life of Jesus will be in them and they will be light in dark places
He is gracious and compassionate and righteous (upright–in right standing with God). It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He conducts his affairs with justice.
Those who know and love the Lord will walk in His likeness and example, they will be gracious, merciful, lavish and generous in their giving to those who are without. They are full of compassion, kindness and care for those who are lacking, in need and in want of help. They conduct themselves humbly and fairly and without pride or judgement, but seek justice for those who are lost, marginalized and ostracized.
He will never be shaken; The righteous forever. He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting [confidently relying on and believing] in the LORD. His heart is upheld, he will not fear While he looks [with satisfaction] on his adversaries.
Those who put their trust in the Most-High God, will not be shaken by the lies, stories, gossip and rumors of the affairs of this fallen world system. They will not fear bad news of economics, social or political mayhem, confusion or turmoil, because their hearts are fixed steadfastly, consistently believing and trusting in the Lord their God.
He has given freely to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted in honor.
Those who trust in The Most-High God as their source knows His abundance is inexhaustible and limitless. They can give freely and generously to the poor, knowing the Lord will supply exceedingly abundantly above all they could ask or think.
